Randall is making a tablecloth for his dining room table. The table is 6 feet long and 3.5 feet wide. He also wants the tablecloth to have two triangular sections that fall off the edge of the table. The triangles need to be 3.5 feet wide and 1 foot tall.

What is the area of the completed tablecloth in square feet?

PLEASE HELP, PLEASE :)

Answer:

the answer would be 24.5 feet squared

Explanation:

if you multiply 6 by 3.5 you get 21 and if you multiply 3.5 by one you get 3.5. you divide that by two to get 1.75. now you add the area of both triangles to get 3.5. add 3.5 and 21 to get 24.5. sorry if this was confusing
