Is immigration the same thing as race?

No race is not the same thing as immigration
Immigration means - the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country.

And race means interpreted to mean an identifiable group of people who share a common descent, was introduced into English in about 1580, from the Old French rasse (1512), from Italian razza.
