The area formula of a circle is r² x π.

With that being said, we can now substitute in our radius value.

(5)² x π

From there, we can find the square root of the radius.

(25) x π

And then we can multiply by pi to solve.

78.539816..

Finally, we'll round to the nearest tenth to get our answer.

78.5

Therefore, the area of the circle is 78.5 cm.

Hope this helped! :)

Answer:

A = 78.5 cm²

Explanation:

Area of Circle = πr²

A = (3.14)(5)²

A = (3.14)(25)

A = 78.5 cm²
