One analysis that can be seen is the drastic decrease in comparison to other age ranges in the amount of men & women that is located in the age range of 30 - 35. This is the 1950s, which is only 10 -15 years after World War II. This population segment was hit the hardest, and were the ones that were drafted into the war. This explains why there is a detriment in the amount of people inside that age range that is still alive.
