Explain why and how the Indians removed from their land in sent to Indian territory. What happened as a result of the Indian removal act? (1830)

The Indians were removed from their land because of to them (Andrew Jackson and his supporters) American Indians seemed to be an unfamiliar, alien people who occupied land that white settlers wanted (and believed they deserved that land). They were removed by the Indian Removal Act and the result was the trail of tears in where many of them died since they were forced to move.
