Why doesn't (12+6) divided by 2 and 12+6 divided by 2 have the same answer????

Because of BODMAS/BIDMAS

Explanation:

BODMAS or BIDMAS is the order of things you do in Maths and brackets always come first so (12+6)÷2 would become 18 ÷2 and since division comes before addition, 12+6÷2 would become 12+3 (6÷2). This would mean that (12+6)÷2 is 9 and 12+6÷2 is 15.
