Rabies is a disease that spreads when an infected animal bites another animal. Though there is a cure for rabies, if an animal in the wild gets it, there is no way to treat it. In Minnesota, skunks and bats in the wild often carry rabies. What would happen to local animal populations if rabies started to spread?

A.Local animal populations would start to increase.
B.Local animal populations would start to decrease.
C.Local animal populations would increase, then decrease.

Answer:

B. Local animal populations would start to decrease.

Step-by-step explanation:

Rabies is a terminal illness, so if an animal gets it, it will most likely die without treatment. This would decrease the population.
