During WW2, there were two main superpowers. America didn’t want to get involved, as they knew it’d lead to mass casualties. They used a tactic that we know as “Isolationism”.

* What is isolationism? It’s the act of isolating yourself, remaining neutral.

Answer: A reason is because the President and Congress thought the war would not affect the US. This was called isolationism.

Hope this helps!
