Digestion is a process where the larger, insoluble food molecules are converted to smaller, soluble molecules. The large molecules can’t be used by our body, so digestion essentially breaks down food into a form in which the body can use to provide with essential nutrients for growth and repair, to provide us with energy and to store energy etc.
