A train can either be early, on time or late the probability that the train is early is 0.2 the probability that the train is on time is 0.5 work out the probability that the train is late

Solution :-

Probability = 1 - (Sum of early and late time)

Probability = 1 - (0.5 + 0.2)

=> 1 - 0.7

=> 0.3

Probability the train would be late is 1 - probability of on time - probability of being early.

Probability the train would be late is 1 - 0.2 - 0.5 = 0.3
