45 is 30 * 1.5.

Answer:

Explanation:

Ratio of water to plants= 4 : 30

Simplifying,we will get, 2:15

2:15 = x:45

(2)/(15)=(x)/(45)\\\\(2)/(15)*45=x\\\\2*3=x\\6=x

6 gallons of water should be used to water 45 plants.
