You need to look at the inequalities on the right to find which one x=3 satisfies

Testing x =3 in the Inequalities

can't be first because 3 is not between -1 and -2

can't be second because 3 is not between -1 and 3

last one x is greater than or equal to 3, which is true

Therefore you sub x=3 into the equation next to that

6-x

6-3 = 3
