Immigration is such a contentious issue in US history because Immigration is controversial everywhere. People tend to think people that immigrate are immigrants and should ‘stay where they are’ “on their own land”. Instead of welcoming the people coming,they racially profile the people and tell them to go back to their own land and think they are terrorists, drug dealers, and ect.
