She said that:
(1)/(256) =-(1)/(4^(-4))=4^(-4)

However, when we have a negative exponent, in order to get rid of the negative, we simply take the reciprocal of the number and then make the exponent positive. Here, the answer should be:


(1)/(256) =(1)/(4^(4))=4^(-4)
