solution is (10/3 , -7/3) for y = (1/2)x - 4 and y = 2x - 9

Explanation:

y = (1/2)x - 4

y = 2x - 9

2x - 9 = (1/2)x - 4

(3/2)x = 9 - 4

(3/2)x = 5

x = 10/3

y = 2*(10/3) - 9 = 20/3 - 9 = 20/3 - 27/3 = -7/3

solution is (10/3 , -7/3) unless you meant to write y = x - 4 and y = 2x - 9

if so then x - 4 = 2x - 9 x = 5... but this is not in your solution set.
