Explanation:

This is an equation.
(4)/(7)p = 56 . We want to isolate p to find the value of p. But we also have to remember that in equation we have to keep both sides equal because otherwise we would be changing the whole equation. So lets start to solve this equation and make p the subject


(4)/(7)p = 56

→ We should multiply both sides by 7 to get rid of the fraction

4p = 392

→ We have to divide both sides by 4 to isolate p

p = 98
