Answer: The over-irrigation of the fields is a failure of conservation of water, as lot of freshwater can be wasted after this activity. The surface water from an irrigation land may reach a water body and hence, the water containing pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers and other chemicals may contaminate the water body.
