Kaitlin is constructing a box in the shape of a rectangular prism to hold her lab supplies. To sit on her locker shelf, she need the base of the box to measure 6 inches by 5 inches. If the box must hold 90 cubic inches (volume), how tall must it be? *

Since It is a rectangular prism, the volume V = l * b * h

where l, b and h are the length, breadth and height respectively. Now , it is the measurement of the base that is l * b, hence the base area in this question is 6 * 5 = 30 inches^2

The height of the supply box is thus 90/30 = 3 inches high
