After World War 2, there was a rise in consumerism as families began to find new jobs which led to the rise of incomes that they were receiving, there were lots of advertising with billboards, television became popular in the 1950s as it became a primary medium for many families which allowed for many people to view the advertisers of products.

What do you think accounts for the rise in consumerism in the 1950's?
