It should look like this

5(2) - 3(2)

Simply multiply and subtract afterwards to get your remaining value

10 - 6

A quicker way would be to simplify the like terms.

add 5x to -3x

5x - 3x = 2x

Substitute for 2...

2(2) = 4!

See? That's not too difficult.
