Answer:

Christopher Gadsden (1724 - 1805) was the leader of the Sons of Liberty in Charleston, South Carolina and a delegate to the Stamp Act Congress of 1765. During the revolutionary war, he commanded his regiment to defend Charleston and proposed to the provincial congress to push for independence. He became a brigadier general in the Continental army, and later got affected mostly to the debates over the state's new constitution.

During the revolutionary war, Rebecca Brewton Motte (1737 - 1815) used all of her resources to help both soldiers and civilians.

When the British seized her plantation home on the Congaree, the patriot troops under Marion and Lee decided itas necessary to set her house on fire to recover it. Not only Rebecca agreed, but she even provided three East Indian fire arrows to do so.
