Who has power in a monarchy and how do the leaders get the power?

A monarch such as a king or queen rules of kingdom and empire in a constitutional monarchy the monarchs power is limited by the constitution but in an absolute monarchy the monarch has unlimited power. In monarchies leaders are chosen troopers or if married into Royal family theyre replaced through in Heritance leaders are never elected in monarchies leaders never have to follow the same rules as everyone else
