To find the surface area, you need to find the area of the two bases (triangles) and three rectangles.

Triangles

A = 1/2Bh

A = 1/2 (8)(7)

A = 1/2 (56)

A = 28

Since there are two of them, you would double that, so the total area of two triangles is 56cm²

Rectangles

A = Bh

A = (16)(8)

A = 128

Since the triangle bases are equilateral triangles, the three rectangles are all congruent. All you need to do is triple the area of one rectangle which gives you 384 cm²

Now just add those two together and you get 440cm²
