Suppose Nigel has a bag of colored wristbands, and he chooses one without looking. The bag contains a total of 25 wristbands and 6 of the wristbands are blue.
a. What is the probability that Nigel will choose a blue wristband?
b. Is it likely, unlikely, or neither likely nor unlikely that Nigel will choose a blue wristband?

Explanation:

To figure out how likely an event is, we just put the number of the blue bands over the total number of 'other' bands.

Pretty easy!

It is unlikely he will choose a blue band, as it is much more likely he will choose a 'other' band.

Remember, the smallest number for an event will make it the most unlikeliest to happen out of all the others.
