The plant is part of the biosphere (living organisms) and it gets nutrients from the soil (biosphere), and it gets water from the hydrosphere and CO2 from the atmosphere. The plant uses CO2 and water to perform photosynthesis to survive.

In order for the plant which is in the biosphere to grow it needs the dirt that is in the geosphere, the sun and CO2 that is in the atmosphere, as well as the H2O in hydrosphere
