Proportions-- pleasehelp !
i've recently been diagnosed with cov19, and due to that i haven't been able to attend my classes or really know whats going on. my fever has dropped slightly so i have taken today to try to catch up on all my subjects and missed work.
ive pretty much covered everything, except for math. i cant find anything in my textbooks or binder to help.
right now we are focusing on proportions, i cannot seem to understand a mathematical word expression like this:
two integers whose ratio is 8:5 have a sum of 52. find both numbers.
please help me solve a problem like this example,
