⇒ we must know the formula

⇒ Area = base * height

What are we given:

  • Base length: it is 4ft because we counted that the length covered 4 square
  • Height length: it is 3ft because we counted that the height covered 3 square

Thus:

Area = 3ft * 4ft = 12
ft^2
