How does war shape the development of civilizations

1. War fuels development of new technologies e.g. Nazi V2 rocket scientists employed by NASA for Apollo mission.

2. War redefines the work force, leading to development as different groups in civilisation come together in one common goal.

3. War also leads to greater unity and economic development in civilisation, e.g. European Union was created after ww2 to bring together countries so conflict of that scale would never occur, and war torn counties could develop together.
