Not sure what you are trying to ask here but having read America, the poem written Claude McKay, I can tell you what it is about. In the poem he expresses his love for his country and his hate for it and that there are so many good things that happen but just as many bad, so much so that he can't decide to love it or hate it. It has been built on hate, racism, and segregation. On the other hand it still keeps it's values of freedom, justice, growth.

It's a piece that represents his conflicted feeling.
