How did the role of women in Roman society change during the era of the republic?

Women were allowed to own property but could not vote.
Women were allowed to serve as advisors to the assembly.
Women earned the right to be elected to serve in the senate.

Womens were discriminated based on their gender. The perspective to womens back then is very low resulting in not being able to vote. They are viewd as "low" and should always be dominated by the male.
