Ive been learning to play the piano few abt 2 yrs and on my 3rd book but im having issues with the notes sticking in my head and not forgetting them

I have the same problem. I have been playing for 7 years. My teacher would have me play one measure so many times that i would almost get sick of the song. Every time you finish practicing one part, play everything that you memorized up to that part.
