Answer:

The answer is 98.

Explanation:

Following the rules of PEMDAS:

First you have to start in the parenthesis.

36 / 12=3

2^3 [(1)/(4) +4(3)]

Now we multiply.

4(3)= 4*3 = 12

our new equation:

2^3 [(1)/(4) +12]

Now we will take care of our exponent.

2^3= 2*2*2=8

Our new equation:

8 [(1)/(4) +12]

Now we will add
(1)/(4) to 12

That equals
12(1)/(4)

Our equation:

8[12(1)/(4) ]

We will finish by multiplying by 8.

Now we have to change our equation to fractions so we can multiply.

to do this all I had to do was multiply 12 by 4. I did this so that 12 was separated into fourths like the fraction.

Our fraction is:

49/4

now we will mulitply 8 by 49/4

This equals

98.

The answer is 98.

Hope this helped!
