Biodiversity boosts an ecosystems productivity where each species, no matter how small, all have an important role to play. They maintain the diversity of Central Africa’s forests through the dispersion of seeds. The large seeds they eat and disperse are too big for most other animals, so it is a role that they and a few other species must play to ensure biodiversity remains within the forests.
