Gloria and Maria are out for a walk on a rainy day. They come to the edge of a large circular puddle that has a radius od 4 feet. Gloria is wearing galoshes, so she walks right through the center of the puddle to the other side. Maria forgot to put on her rainy boots today, so she walks around the outside of the puddle to.meer Gloria. How much farther, in feet, did Maria walk than Gloria . (Use 3.14 for pi.)​

12.56-8=4.56\ ft more to meet Gloria.

Since we have given that

Gloria walked from one edge of a large circular puddle through the centre of the puddle to the other side.

Radius = 4 feet

So, Distance covered by Gloria = Diameter =
2* radius=2* 4=8\ ft

Maria walk around the outside of the puddle to meet Gloria.

So, it will cover circumference of semi circle.

So, Distance covered by Maria =
\pi r=3.14* 4=12.56\ ft

Hence, Maria walk
12.56-8=4.56\ ft more to meet Gloria.
