How do you know that The Hunger Games series takes place in a dystopian society? Give specific examples.

Answer:

Panem is a dystopian society because of three major reasons. For one the society is built off of exploitation as shown when Katniss exploits her femininity to keep Peeta and herself alive under reign of the capitol. Another reason why Panem is a dystopian society is because of mainly violence and brutal repression as shown when even children are forced to compete in the Hunger Games.
