How did ancient Rome come into closer contact with Greek civilization?​

Greece is really the foundation on which Rome built their society. The Romans borrowed many of their Greek Gods, their architecture, their comedy and their sculpture. The Romans also had their children educated by Greeks. The Greeks were defeated by the Romans in 146 BC
