“Henry had no time of his own. There was his wife, Agnes who owned that part of it that his employer, Mr. Carsville, did not buy.”

What does this quote help us understand about Henry as a character? What else is important about him? (2-3 Sentences)

Henry is a very busy man and is either at his job or with his wife. The part where is says that the employer buys his time suggests that Henry merely tolerates his job for the money. The part where it says his wife owns his time might suggest that he loves his wife and wants to give her all of his extra time.

Hope it helps! :P
