How does Gatsby in the book The Great Gatsby reveal layers, complexity, and issues of the American dream through his multiple names/identities. PLEASE help, I need this answered for my english review packet.

Interestingly, Gatsby does this particularly in two ways:

1. At some point in the novel it portrays life as a result of the American dream, where because of Gatsby's and Daisy's social and material differences, he tries to impress her by making more money through crime.

2. Another issue of the American dream was reflected when Gatsby begins to throw parties every Saturday night. Evidently this portrayed how the life of most Americans especially young ones had become; a life centered on mainly pleasure and money.
