Read three inaugural speeches by three different presidents (not JFK – we have looked at his already). Analyze each one in a half page paragraph by first explaining the Kairos (context of what is happening in the country) in which the speech is given and then by discussing the rhetoric and language. Finally, write a half page paragraph reflecting on the similarities of the speeches – what rhetorical devices did they all rely on, what ideals do they all use, and/or what concepts did they all discuss?
