Why does the moon appear to move across the sky during the night?.

Usually it appears that the moon is moving because of the clouds! if there's no clouds then it's just kinda an illusion you get in the car lol because the car moves but the moon stays in the same place, and because it's so big you can see it anywhere! Nerdy answer: Because Earth rotates on its axis from west to east :I
