Earthquakes can strike any location at any time. But history shows they occur in the same general patterns year after year, principally in three large zones of the earth. One area in the U. S. that experiences many earthquakes is California. California lies within one of these large zones. What is that zone? Explain why California is an earthquake prone area.

It’s earthquake area becusse it right by the ocean cause the plates underground to rumble causing a earth quake
