If angle x and angle y are supplementary angles, that mean that they add up to 180 degrees. So, if angle y is 116 degrees you need to subtract that from 180. The answer would be, 64 degrees.

Supplementary angles are angles that add up to 180 degrees. Oftentimes, we see that supplementary angles are on a straight line, of which is also equal to 180 degrees.

x + y = 180

x + 116 = 180

x = 64 degrees

Hope this helps!! :)
