Subtract the lower exponent from the higher one. (4 from 8)

8 - 4 = 4

The base stays the same, so a = 3, and the exponent is now 4, so b = 4.

Now find 3^4 by multiplying.

3 × 3 × 3 × 3 = 81

Answer:

a = 3

b = 4

c = 81
