Rome fought Carthage during the Punic wars between 264 BCE – 146 BCE. Did Rome win or lose the wars? How do you know?

Answer:

Rome won the second Punic War, some say, because they were lucky, and because Hannibal hesitated to consolidate his initial victories by marching on Rome. They one the third Punic War because the severe terms of the second war's settlement greatly weakened Carthage.

I know this because I had done some researching.
