A round trip is referred to as a trip to a place and back again when following the same route
So in this case it would be 1.6*2 which is 3.2 miles (NOT 1.6^2)

Answer:

3.2 miles

Explanation:

Round trip indicates that Jerome goes to school AND comes back, so the answer is not 1.6 squared; it is 1.6 * 2 = 3.2
