Solution:

One big square have 100 small square.

Shaded part of first big square = 100

Fraction of shaded part of first big square =
(100)/(100)

Shaded part of second big square = 19

Fraction of shaded part of second big square =
(19)/(100)

Fraction of total shaded area:


$=(100)/(100)+(19)/(100)


$=(100+19)/(100)


$=(119)/(100)

Percent of shaded area:


$=(119)/(100)* 100\%

= 119%

The shaded area is 119%.
