(6,8,m) is a set of 3 numbers written in ascending order which form a Pythagorean triad. find the value of m.

please explain how to do this :D

m=10

Explanation:

pythagorean theorem is a^2+b^2=c^2.

c will always be the largest as its the hypotenuse.

6 and 8 are a and b

6 x 6 = 36 + 8 x 8 = 64 = 100. square root of 100 is 10.
