Explanation:

Initial amount of iron per serving = 1.2 mg

After an increase the amount of iron per serving = 1.8 mg

Increase in the amount of iron per serving = 1.8 - 1.2 = 0.6 mg

Percent increase in iron is calculated as


% increase = (Final amont - initial amount )/(initial amount)
Change = (Final \ amount - initial \ amount )/(initial \ amount) (100)

Put the values in above formula we get


(0.6)/(1.2) (100) = 50 %

Therefore the percent increase in iron = 50 %
