What is the only function that allows us to pull the variable out of the exponent?​

Answer: log function

The rule is log(x^y) = y*log(x)

The exponent y is pulled down and placed as a coefficient, so to speak.

Answer: isolate the exponent term on one side of the equation, and then apply the appropriate radical to both sides of the equation.
