Why Lincoln had to go into disguise and trade trains as he headed to Washington D.C? (What was he afraid of?)

Assassinations attempts.
Some people were out to kill him because of his views on slavery (this is a huge example)

He was afraid that somone would assassinate him he was on the union side but there was another side the confederate side he was afraid somone on the confederate side would kill him
